The KOSTAL Group took part in the certification process for the first time and is entitled to call itself "Excellent Apprenticeship Company 2022”. In an anonymous survey, apprentices answered around 100 detailed questions about the quality of their vocational training. Topics included, for example, the content of the training and how apprentices are treated in the company.
For the seal, additional key figures were collected with the apprenticeship team. These included, for example, the number of apprentices taken on and the dropout rate. "By combining these key figures with the apprentices' assessment, young people receive reliable information about how good a company actually is in terms of vocational training programs," says business psychologist Judith Grefe from "ertragswerkstatt," which oversees the awarding of the seal. Only companies that receive good grades from their apprentices and are particularly committed to vocational training are recognized as "Excellent Apprenticeship Company 2022.
Kai Schrage, Head of Vocational Education, is very pleased about the award: "A dual training program or a combined study program are important cornerstones for providing young people with a very good basis for their professional life. It is important to us to give our junior staff orientation, to encourage them, but also to challenge them."
The KOSTAL Group received an excellent report from its apprentices in the survey. In addition to varied tasks in exciting product fields, the interaction with the trainees and appreciative feedback from the trainers were rated particularly positively. In addition, the survey also provided valuable information for the further development of vocational training quality.
