Borrowing the theme and many key exhibit items from KOSTAL's vast exhibit at last year's IAA, KOSTAL North America (KONA) hosted tech shows at Ford Motor Company's global headquarter in Dearborn, Michigan and at KOSTAL's North American Center of Excellence in Troy, Michigan for General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) during the last two weeks of September 2016.
Thanks to a great team effort by many here at KONA (including our dedicated display company) as well as overseas at LK, KOSTAL wowed its customer base in the U.S. with its broad product portfolio and forward-thinking technology.
The highlight certainly was the tech show at Ford, which was attended by 350 registered guests. However, events for GM and FCA proved successful as well, as key decision makers from our customers' Engineering and Purchasing departments visited KOSTAL on-site in Troy.
These tech shows raised awareness of KOSTAL's expertise and abilities with the U.S. customers, positively affected our customers' perception of KOSTAL as a supplier and sparked discussions about collaboration on future projects.
Recent awards of such strategic products as the steering column module for Ford's CD6-platform vehicles – KOSTAL's first steering column module with Ford in the U.S. – are a sign of being on the right path.
