KOSTAL uses 100% green electricity at all German locations

As of 01.01.2021, the Stadtwerke Lüdenscheid will now supply Kostal in Lüdenscheid, Meinerzhagen, Schalksmühle, Halver, Hagen, Dortmund and Dresden with green electricity that is certified according to the "ok-Power" seal and thus comes from 100 percent renewable energy sources. This will save 14,300 tonnes of CO2 annually.

In addition, KOSTAL is also pushing the expansion of electromobility on site: Together with the Stadtwerke Lüdenscheid, the first e-charging station has now been set up and officially put into operation on the visitor car park in front of the main entrance to the headquarters "An der Bellmerei 10" in Lüdenscheid.
Andreas Kostal and Erik Höhne  (Speaker of the board – Enervie group) carried out the symbolic first refuelling.

Andreas Kostal: "Sustainability and the careful and economical use of resources have always been a decisive factor for success in our 108-year corporate history. We were and are aware that economy can only be successful in the long term if it also acts sustainably. In addition, the KOSTAL group of companies makes a valuable contribution to a more environmentally friendly world with innovative products for both electric mobility and photovoltaics. I am personally particularly pleased that we can now make a contribution to the climate-friendly energy turnaround through the agreement concluded with the Stadtwerke Lüdenscheid on the purchase of green electricity for all our German sites from 2021 and that we will receive the green electricity certificate for this".
