Our customer portfolio: a “Who’s Who” of the automotive industry

KOSTAL has been manufacturing products for cars and motorcycles since 1926. As early as the 1930s, our company was supplying rotary switches for the BMW 328. In the 1940s, the VW Beetle was rolling off the production line equipped with KOSTAL dashboard elements and indicator switches. Over the years that followed, all of the group’s other renowned brands were added to the ranks of KOSTAL’s customers: Audi, Skoda, Seat, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini.
KOSTAL is represented by its steering column switches in the Mercedes 300 SL from the 1950s – marking the start of a successful partnership. In the 1970s, KOSTAL was already supplying Ford with indicator and wiper switches. In line with the increasing globalisation of the company, the customers also become more international: Volvo, PSA, Renault-Nissan, Jaguar, Land Rover, Fiat, Chrysler, GM, Mazda and Mitsubishi. The more recent customers in KOSTAL’s history include Great Wall, FAW Car, Hyundai and Tesla.
